Our application update technology and ExpressApply technology are popular because they address applicant pain points, and accelerate the process of finding a job, said Chris Forman, CEO, StartWire.

Helping job seekers accelerate their job search and hear back from employers sooner, StartWire, America’s #1 job search organizer, today celebrated surpassing 1 million users since coming out of beta in 2012. Growth has been driven by job seeker demand for StartWire’s automatic application updates, which help job seekers close the black hole and receive feedback on their applications, as well as new features that let applicants apply faster online.

“We put the applicant experience first and that mindset has fueled our growth,” said Chris Forman, CEO, StartWire. “Our application update technology and ExpressApply technology are popular because they address applicant pain points, and accelerate the process of finding a job.”

Building off of strong interest in application update technology, StartWire worked to further improve the applicant experience by expanding its features to include the popular Express Apply jobs function. StartWire’s Express Apply Jobs, available via the StartWire website and mobile apps, allows users to apply quickly and easily to jobs selected for them based on their experience.

Job seekers create a unique job search profile and are presented with recently posted and available positions. With one click, job seekers can then apply. The combination of job-targeting and a faster application process improves job discovery and puts job seekers at the front of the line for highly relevant, open positions.

“Staying on top of job postings and applying quickly is critical, as research shows that 50 percent of successful candidates applied in the first week after a job was posted,” Forman added. “Express Apply Jobs allow job seekers to apply faster and smarter by delivering them targeted positions based on their StartWire job seeker profile. The combination of these factors puts StartWire users a step ahead in their job search.”

StartWire helps more than 1 million job seekers keep records related to their job search as well as track job applications online or through their mobile devices for more than 8,200 employers, a 64 percent increase since the beginning of 2013.

Since its official launch in 2012, StartWire has fueled interest in application updates and launched Application Connect – an employer solution for providing updates – in April 2012, which received the HR Tech Product of the Year Award in October 2012.
