If I can help a family through a difficult situation, and make their decision easier, it’s rewarding to know I’ve made a difference.
Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) January 03, 2014
Lee Knapp has spent her entire career helping others. In May 2013, she opened the Jacksonville, FL CarePatrol franchise to assist families who have come to the decision to place their family member in a senior living facility. CarePatrol provides free senior living placement services for seniors and families seeking care options at independent living, assisted living, nursing home, and Alzheimer’s and Dementia facilities.
Previously, Knapp spent thirty years as an emergency room nurse throughout many hospitals in Jacksonville. She also was Vice President and part owner of a safety and security consulting firm where she specialized in education of nuclear, biological, and chemical terror issues, and has written two books on the aspect of medical response to weapons of mass destruction.
As a nurse, Knapp regularly interacted with thousands of seniors who visited the emergency room and witnessed the daily struggles seniors and their families encounter. She wanted to contribute to the care and attention many seniors require after leaving the hospital. Seeking a new opportunity within the care industry without the everyday stress of the emergency room environment, Knapp discovered CarePatrol.
With previous franchise experience, Knapp researched new franchise opportunities with successful business models. CarePatrol is experiencing rapid national expansion, and is projected to reach one hundred and thirty franchises in 2014. Knapp found CarePatrol’s corporate message, mission, and vision matched her objectives for a new venture in senior care.
CarePatrol franchisees tour the top graded facilities in their territories and present seniors with facilities that match their medical, financial, and location requirements. They complete comprehensive consultations, personally drive clients to facilities for tours, and even conduct follow up visits once the client is placed. Franchisees also work with local doctors, social workers, and senior resource programs in their territories to provide a complete plan of action for seniors and their families to consider when deciding to transition into senior housing.
“The corporate office is extremely supportive; they provide me with the necessary resources to provide the highest quality of service to my clients,” said Knapp.
Knapp’s CarePatrol franchise territory covers the coastal side of Jacksonville, FL through St. Augustine, FL, including Duvall County, St. Johns County, and Clay County. However, Knapp frequently works outside her territory, touring and researching assisted living residences, nursing homes, and other facilities in the surrounding areas to ensure her clients have the opportunity to consider every possible option to secure the right placement.
“If I can help a family through a difficult situation, and make their decision easier, it’s rewarding to know I’ve made a difference,” said Knapp. I am looking forward to helping more families find their loved ones the perfect senior care facility.”
