What is the Travel Healthcare Industry?

Travel nurses and travel physical therapists are healthcare professionals, such as Registered Nurses or Therapists, who relocate to areas of the country where their skills are needed most. A travel nurse career is an option for nurses with at least two years of experience and a minimum of 12 months of acute care clinical experience. Travel nurses and therapists work up to four travel jobs each year ranging from 8 to 26 weeks per assignment with an average duration of 13 weeks although many assignments are often extended.
