Cummins Crosspoint, LLC, has named Keith Bentz president of its Crosspoint Solutions subsidiary. Crosspoint Solutions, headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., produces, sells and distributes ClimaCab APUs, the battery-powered, no-idle AC solution for Class 8 sleeper cabs.
Cummins Crosspoint President Dave Smitson said Bentz was selected for his strong background in sales and marketing. “Keith brings a new perspective to the leadership of Crosspoint Solutions. He has a unique ability for selling and channel management in the heavy-duty and commercial trucking industry that comes from his previous experience,” Smitson said.
Bentz has worked with the trucking industry for more than 20 years. Most recently he served as director of North American marketing for Allison Transmission, Inc. In that position Bentz managed marketing efforts for the global manufacturer of fully-automatic transmissions for the medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicle industry. Prior to his work at Allison, he was president of Bentz Transport Products, Inc., in Ft. Wayne, Ind. As president he was responsible for the entire business operations of a $10.6M manufacturer of sleeper cabs and vocational cabs for the medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicle industry employing more than 100 people.
Bentz replaces Henry Janzen, who led Crosspoint Solutions during its first-year, start-up phase. Janzen will remain in a consultant role with Crosspoint Solutions for the near term.
Cummins Crosspoint, LLC, is one of 15 North American Distributors for Cummins, Inc., providing sales, service and parts for all Cummins engine applications in a five-state territory.
