American Billiard Company Announce Best Christmas Sales in Four Years on Back of Rene Pierre UK Distribution Agreement

Since the crash of 2008, leisure equipment sales have understandably been put on the back-burner by most UK households, something that had impacted traditional billiard table sales from UK importer American Billiard Company. However, a new range of contemporary French-made football tables and combination pool-dining tables from Rene Pierre have re-invigorated the company's sales, culminating with a four-year Christmas sales high for 2013.

We've worked hard to keep ourselves going through some tough times and to see new products igniting the public's interest once more is a great thing to see...

Leeds, West Yorkshire (PRWEB UK) 16 January 2014

For many years, Leeds-based billiard importer and distributor American Billiard Company steadily built up a reputation for being the 'go-to' solution for high quality American billiard tables. With the financial boom of the mid 2000s, selling high quality pool tables was big business; however, with the crash of Northern Rock and all that would follow, high-end billiard tables became very much a luxury and like many companies in the UK and the world, American Billiard Company found itself looking for new sources of income.

Thanks to good forethought and strict financial doctrine from finance director Dawn Hemmins, the business was able to ride out the worst of the storm whilst searching for new avenues to exploit.

The company's new relationship with French manufacturer Rene Pierre has allowed the UK business to develop into new areas with faster lead times and much more efficient supply lines. Top of the tree is the new range of football table games made by Rene Pierre in their factory just outside of Macon in Southern France.

Whilst only launched into the UK this summer, the range has proved so popular that sales have far surpassed anything planned, leading to the best Christmas period since 2009 when all the problems started.

"We're really pleased with our new partnership and range of products", stated Hemmins. "We've worked hard to keep ourselves going through some tough times and to see new products igniting the public's interest once more is a great thing to see..."

The company are already working with distributors on plans to grow a new range of combination pool dining tables to further enhance business for Christmas 2014.
