Clothing is not garbage. In fact it’s one of our last and most renewable resources. Textiles of all kinds can easily be recycled, reused and repurposed to create a greener tomorrow for all!

Participants at the Jurupa Valley Community Clean Up on January 18, 2014 are invited to clean out their closets and drop off a bag of unwanted clothes, shoes, toys and household textiles at conveniently located recycling bins provided by American Textile Recycling Service (ATRS). Along with Waste Management and Jurupa Valley High School, ATRS Recycling advocates will be onsite to educate the community and help divert textiles from Jurupa area landfills.

Just like electronics, paper, aluminum and glass, textiles should be part of a holistic recycling program in every community. ATRS Recycling supports this mission by providing easy, convenient and free recyclers all throughout the Jurupa area that not only keep the community clean but support local Southern California charity Giving Children Hope.

“Clothing is not garbage,” says Bill Corrao, Government Relations Advocate for ATRS in Southern California. “In fact it’s one of our last and most renewable resources. Textiles of all kinds can easily be recycled, reused and repurposed to create a greener tomorrow for all!”

Jurupa residents can recycle all year round simply by calling our 24-Hour Hotline at 866-900-9308 to locate donation sites in your neighborhood or by visiting ATRSOnline.com.

American Textile Recycling Service (ATRS) is the nation’s fastest growing textile recycler.
