When the InterGalactic Medicine Show magazine decided to compile a big book of their favorite already printed stories over the years, the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future contest was happy to hear that out of the ten stories in the book, five are former winners of the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future contest.
Aliette de Bodard, Eric James Stone, Stephen Kotowych, Brad Torgersen and Marina J. Lostetter are included and all of them are winners, from the past 8 years of the contest.
"This is a testament to the quality of our winners work," Dave Wolverton, coordinating judge of the Writers of the Future Contest stated. "It is no surprise that our contest would have such a high percentage of the stories chosen. It is a popular magazine for our winners and even our finalists to submit to."
Edited by Orson Scott Card and Edmund R. Schubert the volume first released on Kindle format last month and this month will see hard copy print.
An issue of the IGMS magazine 2 years ago had 4 winners of the contest in the same issue, which was noted after the fact of publication of the magazine. It was not done intentionally.
As it is free-to-enter, L. Ron Hubbard's Writers of the Future, now in its 31st year enjoys amazing success with thousands of entrants yearly. Created by best-selling author L. Ron Hubbard, the contest has to date launched the careers of 12 New York Times bestselling authors.
