2014 Best Places to Work in Connecticut

Mountainside's success and its continual focus on improving the culture it provides for its employees are two factors why the company is expanding so considerably in 2014.

Canaan, CT (PRWEB) January 23, 2014

Mountainside was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in Connecticut for the 2014 calendar year. This marks the second consecutive year that the Connecticut-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation center is honored by the Hartford Business Journal, Best Companies Group, and Hooker & Holcombe Companies.

The Best Places to Work in Connecticut list was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in state, with particular focus given to how the company benefits the state's economy, workforce, and other businesses. The list is made up of 35 companies split into two categories: 20 small/medium-sized companies (15-199 US employees) and 15 large-sized companies (200 or more US employees). Mountainside has been chosen as one of this year’s Best Places to Work in Connecticut in the small/medium category. The actual rankings will be published in the March 2014 issue of Hartford Business Journal and the ranked companies will be recognized at a special awards ceremony on March 19, 2014.

"We are beyond pleased at making this prestigious list for the second consecutive year," said Nancy Degree, Mountainside's Vice President of Human Resources. "At Mountainside, we strive to not only provide the absolute best rehabilitative care to our clients, but we make it a central goal to create an engaging and rewarding workplace for all of our employees by providing them with a positive work environment, excellent benefits, and ongoing training and development," added Degree, "and our continued growth and the recognition of awards such as this are proof positive that we're moving in the right direction."

Mountainside's success and its continual focus on improving the culture it provides for its employees are two factors why the company is expanding so considerably in 2014. Within the first quarter alone, Mountainside will be opening a new 46,000 square-feet, state-of-the-art detox center, an intensive outpatient program, an expanded family wellness program, and a new café. The expansion has the two-time Best Places to Work in Connecticut recipient currently looking to hire approximately 30 new employees.

Degree added, "Mountainside prides itself on providing the nation's most effective rehab services. To do that, we rely on dedicated employees who exhibit professionalism, compassion, and a true desire to help others. Ensuring that their needs are met is central to our success."
