Swedish scientists at Lund University have discovered the latest super berry for losing weight reported the Daily Mail on 23rd January 2014. The Scandinavian berries are known as Cowberries in the UK. These red berries have the ability to lower blood sugar levels and cholesterol but also have the ability to prevent weight gain in high fat diets. This discovery is published after research was conducted on a special type of mouse that stores fat easily. This type of mouse is said to be a model for humans who are overweight and at risk of diabetes. The mice that had eaten the lingonberries had not put on weight than those mice on low fat diets.

Weightmasters commented, “It’s great news that another natural food substance has the potential to help with excess weight, and anything which encourages dieters to eat more of their ‘5 a day’ is a plus!”

Weightmasters have recently launched a new weight management product called Apiplex. This is a natural food supplement in powder form that is mixed with water or juice. Apiplex has been designed to curb appetite and contains natural ingredients such as Green Tea, Psyllium Husk and Konjac Glucomannan.
