Tipton Celebrates a Year of Healthcare Expansion
NEWARK, DEL (PRWEB) January 27, 2014 -- Tipton Communications, a fast-growing, full-service hospital certification, employee communications and public relations agency serving health systems and corporations nationwide, expanded its reach significantly into the healthcare industry in 2013.
“We resolved complex internal and external communication issues relating to changes in organizationwide compensation practices,” said Daniel Tipton, president and CEO of Tipton Communications. “In addition, we communicated mandatory Affordable Care Act changes in benefits resulting from ACA implementation and increased participation in employee surveys for several hospitals.”
Last year, Tipton’s Writing Center of Excellence provided writing and content review/editing consultation, in addition to project management and electronic submission support, to a company record number of hospitals. A number of those hospitals are writing to the new 2014 Magnet® documentation requirements set forth by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
In October, the company proudly witnessed several of its clients’ Magnet celebrations for either a first designation or a redesignation during the ANCC National Magnet Conference®. Earlier in the year, Tipton representatives presented its exclusive documentation solution at the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) 46th Annual Meeting and Exposition.
“Magnet is all about showing outcomes,” said Michelle Beuscher, Tipton’s director of Hospital Certifications. “The benefit to helping our clients achieve Magnet status is knowing that our Magnet document consultants had an impact on more than 3,300 hospital beds across the country last year.”
In addition to Magnet, Tipton recorded several other health-related accomplishments:
- Provided writing/editing assistance for Foster G. McGaw Prize applications
- Executed research reports and strengthened physician communication for several healthcare systems and employers
- Received honorable mentions for its excellence in technical writing of ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® documentation and for its design work for Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania
- Introduced new strategic plans and open enrollment communication for several hospitals
Tipton now provides employee communications, benefits and human resources communications, Magnet documentation writing and editing, Magnet electronic documentation submission solutions, public relations and marketing communications support to nearly 30 hospitals nationwide.
