Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) is hosting a free webinar on January 29, 2014, to provide finance and grant management professionals of federally-funded organizations with information on the new Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards guidance recently issued by the US Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The 60-minute webinar, OMB grant reform: An overview of the recent changes and tips to help you comply, will provide an overview of the key changes in the new “super circular” and provide recommendations to help organizations comply.
The OMB’s comprehensive overhaul to federal grant policies affects key operational areas of entities including state and local governments, not-for-profits, and higher education institutions. To achieve the reform’s intended objective of streamlining and simplifying reporting, entities will need to make the transition effectively. Webinar attendees will learn about the grant circulars that are being superseded, changed, and consolidated as well as important modifications to grant administrative requirements, cost circulars, and audit requirements.
Baker Tilly presenters Heather Acker, partner, state and local government, Kimberly Ginn, principal, higher education and research institutions, and Laura Rash, manager, not-for-profit will also recommend action items to help organizations address these changes and achieve compliance.
