91% of experts agree that mobile visits to their site will “increase.”

The importance of the internet in forging and closing commercial real estate (CRE) deals will not falter in 2014, according to a recent study by marketing and web development experts inMotion Real Estate Media. As well as measuring the importance of the web for generating traffic, inMotion’s research also throws up surprising results regarding lead generation and examines growing trends in mobile traffic.

The study shows that 64% of CRE experts believe their site will receive a greater number of visits from Google searches in 2014, with 27% predicting that the number of visits from Google searches will remain equal and just 9% preparing for a decline.

Furthermore, 59% of professionals surveyed believe they had generated business from their website over the past year, with 41% claiming that their website had brought them “many” leads, and 18% “a few.”

In terms of mobile traffic, the panel’s opinion is crystal clear: a staggering 91% of experts agree that mobile visits to their site will “increase” or “significantly increase” over the coming year.

A variety of other predictions and trends, from changes in website analytics to hiring techniques for real estate marketers, are also named, with a strong final conclusion that “real estate professionals are going to be more necessary than ever as advocates and experts for their clients' interests.”
