ICUSTOMSHIRTS.com, an online interface that lets users customize a dress shirt from top to bottom, is preparing to launch a responsive version of its website. By extending its philosophy on personal style to web browsing, ICUSTOMSHIRTS hopes to provide an optimal experience for all users, no matter which device they use to access the site.
Mobile browsing has been gaining tremendous popularity in recent years, and many industry insiders expect it to surpass desktop browsing in the very near future. The issue is one of usability—something that ICUSTOMSHIRTS has approached with meticulous attention to detail from day one.
With a site that can accommodate all types of devices and serve up a uniformly positive experience, the Company will enable users to quickly and easily create a custom dress shirt from anywhere, even on the go. The same menu of customizable options—including fabric, collar, cuffs, monogram, pocket, yoke, buttons and many more—will be available to all users, without the need for a separate mobile site. The added development work essentially tailors the site to the needs of every user.
A responsive website can adapt on the fly to the user’s device, whether a smartphone, tablet, desktop or any of the varying screen sizes within each. Content—text and images, among other types—simply repositions itself as needed. The responsive version of ICUSTOMSHIRTS.com is currently in development and is scheduled for a spring 2014 launch.
Prior to the introduction of the updated version of ICUSTOMSHIRTS.com, users will be able to view a detailed “How It Works” video on using the dress-shirt design interface. Part tutorial, part overview, the video will guide users through the entire process using a mix of narration, animation and actual shots from the interface.
