Recently published industry data indicates Capstone On-Campus remains a leading provider of third-party management services on university campuses. Based upon information published in the November/ December 2013 edition of Student Housing Business, Capstone ranks second out of seven leading companies providing on-campus management services.
As illustrated in the attached charts, Capstone On-Campus has experienced strong growth since beginning in 2000 with just under 1,000 beds in its portfolio. Including the projects currently under development and scheduled for opening in 2014 and 2015, its portfolio of 23,252 beds indicates an annual average growth rate of 23.95%.
“We believe the primary reason for our growth is because of our understanding of on-campus housing programs. The majority of our personnel have higher education backgrounds, which empowers them to understand the unique nature of managing an on-campus housing community, as well as work well with the many university stakeholders,” says Alton Irwin, Chief Marketing Officer. “We listen carefully and use our understanding to help them position the campus housing to achieve their bigger picture objectives of improving recruitment and retention. And we offer this for their entire housing program, not just the communities we manage.”
