Today, Interloc Solutions and Bentley Systems announce a partnership to provide a solution to address regulations imposed by the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) section of the Clean Water Act – Asset Intelligence for NPDES (AI-NPDES).
The NPDES program regulates direct discharges into navigable waters. To obtain an NPDES permit, the applicant must provide quantitative analytical data identifying the types of pollutants present. Water sources that require an NPDES permit include industrial facilities as well as municipalities. If water discharge is considered a pollutant, the facility is issued a consent decree that includes a fine and specifically identified actions that must be taken by a certain date. In most cases, the offending facility will be required to provide pre-defined reports on a routine basis that provide information on the progression of the required corrective actions.
The joint Interloc-Bentley AI-NPDES offering provides support for your NPDES consent decree corrective actions, including:
Using the combination of IBM Maximo and Bentley Systems products, the AI-NPDES solution collects data from all your relevant systems to provide the reporting, work management and change management knowledge required to meet your NPDES consent decree requirements.
The AI-NPDES solution automatically brings the required information together without the need to use manually created systems and spreadsheets to create the reporting statistics required by the consent decree issuing office.
“Interloc is pleased to be teaming with Bentley Systems to provide this new joint technology solution to help our clients automate meeting the requirements of the Clean Water Act to minimize the risks of fines or penalties,” said Chris Saill, Director Smarter Water, Interloc Solutions.
