(We Are) Nexus has come a long way since the last Winter Music Conference, which is hailed as “the essential platform for electronic dance music.” Since last March, Nexus has created a solid foundation for their music within the electronic dance community. In August of 2013, the duo orchestrated an impressive release with the introduction of their debut single and cover to Sonique’s trance anthem “It Feels So Good.” Now the power EDM duo is back with a follow up and all original single "World Around Me” and are ready to make a lasting impression on the EDM community at the Winter Music Conference.
"It Feels So Good” was (We Are) Nexus’ launching pad affording a distinguishable image in the vast and ever growing terrain of of dance music. Within weeks of its release, the single spread throughout the dance community like wildfire and was featured on well-known dance radio stations such as Fusion Radio and Dance Factory FM while simultaneously appearing on internationally recognized music charts such as the iTunes Dance Chart and Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs. Nexus suddenly had a presence on DJ mixes from around the globe in Germany, Italy and Russia and was receiving praise from Chile and Mexico. With one track, Nexus had created an emerging international fan base and it wasn’t going to stop there.
On January 28th, 2014, Nick Gunn and Carmen Rainier, the duo behind (We Are) Nexus, released their second and all original single “World Around Me.” The original single appears alongside fifteen other remixes spanning across the EDM genres from house to trance. With a strong out-of-the-box reception the "World Around Me” (Original Mix) is receiving heavy rotation on the Music Choice Dance/EDM channel reaching over 50 million households alongside the prominent Fusion Radio, the nations #1 online dance station. Add Chicago based Dance Factory FM and New York based Party 105 FM to the mix and it is safe to say the single is well on its way.
Without a doubt, Nexus has come a long way in the last few months and are ready to elevate their accomplishments at the Winter Music Conference this year. The conference brings together thousands of “musicians and music delegates from 70 countries” annually.
