Social club for entrepreneurs gains attention in San Francisco as members gather monthly to discuss modern sales strategies.

Senator Club (, a social club to help entrepreneurs get good at sales, announces that they will be hosting member events every six weeks in San Francisco this year. With emphasis on software engineering and product development in Silicon Valley, Senator Club founder, Ian Adams, says, "too many startups fail because the founder never learned how to sell their product to customers." Senator Club is working to change that by bringing together entrepreneurs and sales professionals to share modern day sales strategies that actually work in the field today. New sales technologies and applications are discussed regularly to help members streamline sales systems and processes.

Senator Club has teamed up with local co-working spaces and technology companies to host its events. Typical member attendance ranges from 40 - 100 members per event depending on the venue. "There is a wealth of sales knowledge online, but it will never substitute the value of building real relationships offline," says Adams.

There is an emphasis within the club to forge new friendships with other members. Adams believes developing close relationships is the first step toward overcoming personal sales challenges. He hopes members will feel comfortable saying to someone, “I'm really struggling with this, what has worked for you?"

Beyond the social element, Senator Club gives a presentation on a different sales topic at every event. Sales topics for presentations are selected based on member requests to learn a specific sales skill set. Presentations are given by members, guest speakers, and the club founder, Ian Adams.

"There are no full-time sales experts or gurus here," Adams says. "The club is just a bunch of smart, ambitious people, working hard to sell a lot of product."
