Beverly, MA (PRWEB) February 13, 2014

A single owner collection of various vintage wines will feature prominently in the upcoming February 16th estate auction at Kaminski.

One of the most exciting lots from the collection is a pair of Chateau Rothschild wines, including a 1999 Mouton Rothschild and a 1999 Chateau Lafite Rothschild. The Mouton includes more merlot than is typical for the estate, with a breakdown including 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. Rated 93 points by the Wine Advocate, experts expect the vintage to mature between 2005 and 2030, making now an excellent time to buy. The accompanying bottle, a 1999 Chateau Lafite Rothschild has been called “a quintessential offering from Lafite Rothschild” (The Wine Advocate). Rated 95 points, this light but complex and flavorful wine is expected to mature between 2007 and 2030. The set of two bottles is expected to sell for between $400 and $600.

Other offerings among the wine collection include Sauternes from Chateau d’Yquem, Chateau Latour, and others; various vintages from Opus One; two bottles Chateau Lynch Bages Paulliac signed by Julia Child, as well as numerous other lots of assorted vintage red wine.

The impressive and diverse collection comes from a local Massachusetts estate. The Norwell, MA owner sought out fine wine as well as fine art from all over the globe throughout his lifetime. The wines from his collection have been stored in a temperature and humidity controlled cellar since their purchase, and are now displayed in the Kaminski gallery for viewing prior to the auction.

The auction will also feature a wide variety of estate pieces and fine art. Many bidders have already been attracted to a 19th century Russian sterling basket with a swing handle. Dated 1836 and marked with the maker’s name and arms of the city, the piece is valued at $500 to $800.

An exceptional Royal Vienna porcelain table has also garnered bidder interest. Featuring twelve small portrait plaques surrounding a larger center plaque, the hand painted table is valued at $15,000 to $20,000.

Preview for the Winter Estate auction will be held at Kaminski’s gallery at 117 Elliott Street in Beverly MA, February 13th through 15th, from 10:00am to 5:00pm daily. The auction will begin at 10:00am on February 16th, with preview hours preceding the sale starting at 8:00am.
