The list is the latest in a series of research projects which have been designed to delve into what makes a plug in really tick and how the tool can be used to generate revenue by cashback companies.
Published this week, the list, entitled “Top 10 Cashback Plugin Features that Affect Revenue” can be used as a checklist by plug in developers to ensure they are not missing any of the powerful features proven to accelerate income.

Detecting affiliate link hijacking was the sixth cashback plugin feature that can positively affect revenue by ensuring links are not replaced with those of rival affiliates at the moment of purchase.
A single all browser installation to speed up the download and install process was seventh in BestToolBars’ Top 10 with a sidebar option in eighth place. In the penultimate position was a plug in menu, which offers user-friendly benefits such as easy access to pertinent information including cash back available.
Finally, a flashing plugin icon next to the site URL was deemed to also be a factor affecting revenue. This flashing logo would alert the user to the fact cashback was available while browsing, making them more likely to make a purchase.
