Having already twice provided uniforms to the national gold and silver medal winning Canadian Curling teams at the two previous Winter Olympics, Mondetta Clothing has created the uniform program for the Sochi Olympics.
The fully sublimated uniforms, consisting of a jersey and jacket, have been created bespoke for each curler to according to their exact measurements. Each garment has technical capabilities such as four-way stretch, moisture wicking, breathability and are quick-drying, all of which have proven to increase performance. Fit has been refined and further articulated to suit curlers specifically and the range of movement characteristic to the sport, allowing for comfort and a full range of motion.
The Mondetta uniforms have appeared in every Olympic competition since Turin in 2006 and the teams clad therein have never failed to medal leading some to believe the brand has the 'golden touch.'
'The men's teams silvered in the two previous competitions before we got involved and after, won three golds in a row. And the women's team achieved bronze, silver and gold since we came on board, improving every year. As such, we're beyond mildly proud of our winning association and involvement with the teams and the individual athletes as they've been wildly successful on the world stage,' Mondetta/MPG branding director, Tony Lavilla, asserted. 'We've received terrific feedback from all the athletes we've worked with all of whom have shared that our uniforms have been the best curling apparel they've ever worn.'
Jennifer Jones, the 2014 women's team skip, echoed Tony's thoughts, 'Mondetta has done a wonderful job preparing these uniforms. They look good and feel great on, and it was an absolute thrill to wear them in Sochi.'
The entire Mondetta/MPG team is proud and honored to have been a part of the Canadian national teams' resoundingly successful Olympic campaigns and look forward to further collaborations with the Canadian Curling Association.
