According to the February report from multiple listing service Metrolist®, average Denver Metro home prices remained steady in January, signaling a strong 2014 for area real estate. The number of homes sold increased 3 percent from December, from 3,229 to 3,342. Inventory remained tight, with listings on the market only an average of 61 days – a 22 percent decrease from January a year ago. Specifically in the Highlands Ranch area, the online residential real estate site Trulia indicated the median sales price for the last week in January was $340,000, an increase of 11.1 percent from the same week last year.
