VideoPropulsion® (OTC:VPTV) is pleased to announce the expansion of its FloodGate® Deluge DG-1000 DVB-ASI gateway product family with the introduction of the DG-5000. With support for up to 42 standard DVB-ASI ports – individually configurable for input or output – the DG-5000 can be used for grooming MPEG Transport Streams and routing them to ASI or IP outputs.
As digital television transmission continues its forward migration to IP, appliances like the DG-5000 enable operators to leverage existing MPEG digital video sources with DVB-ASI interfaces to deliver the same programming over IP sources. Likewise, in cases where operators receive DTV sources over IP, the DG-5000 can easily feed multiple streams into existing DVB-ASI routers.
“Our relentless pursuit of providing MPEG stream processing solutions with higher densities and lower costs per stream has culminated in our release of the DG-5000”, said Lee McKenna, Vice President of Marketing at VideoPropulsion, now in its 40th year of continuous operation. "Operators will appreciate the ease of use with the DG-5000’s web-based graphical user interface, coupled with our expert post-sales support”.
The DG-5000 is available directly from VideoPropulsion.
Now in it’s 40th year, VideoPropulsion has been a world leader in hardware and software for high performance, low cost per stream, digital content manipulation, and has established a reputation for providing unique HDTV, VoD, and IPTV products.
