Bit Stew Systems Inc., a world-leading provider of integrated, real-time network operations for the utility industry announces the appointment of three proven leaders who add extensive technical expertise and in-depth utility experience to the company’s leadership team.

Joining the Bit Stew team are Kai Hui, Chief Technology Officer (CTO); Roger Goodwin, Vice-President, Global Delivery; and Scott Harden, Vice-President, Strategic Advisory Services.

Kai Hui, Chief Technology Officer
Kai brings years of in-depth knowledge and experience in the utility market and has built an exceptional reputation amongst his peers in the industry. Prior to joining Bit Stew as CTO, Kai’s career spanned 15 years at BC Hydro, including the past four and a half years as the Director of Technology for the Smart Metering and Infrastructure program. Kai also spent 14 years in the Telecommunications manufacturing sector in engineering and design. In his role at Bit Stew, Kai is leading the Architecture and Software Engineering Teams in best practices and technology strategy for the company’s Grid Director Platform. In this capacity, Kai leverages his in-depth knowledge of industry trends, key market drivers, emerging technologies and technology standards to ensure Grid Director maintains its leadership position in the real-time network operations domain.

Roger Goodwin, Vice-President, Global Delivery
Roger brings more than 20 years' experience in the utility and technology industries in Europe and North America. His career spans both gas and electric utilities where he has specialized in Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining and large scale project delivery. For the past six years, he was the IT delivery leader for the BC Hydro Smart Metering project where he was responsible for delivery of all infrastructure, architecture and application deployment. As Vice-President, Global Delivery at Bit Stew, Roger is responsible for delivery of services around the world including new deployments, product upgrades and enhancements.

Scott Harden, Vice-President, Strategic Advisory Services
Scott is a business-oriented leader with 20 years experience in information technology consulting. He provides thought leadership for solution architecture and information management disciplines within the smart energy sector, with a focus on value-based strategic initiatives, operational planning, and ongoing technology lifecycle management. As a successful entrepreneur and industry leader, Scott has been a trusted advisor to firms engaged in complex technology projects and initiatives around the globe including Epcor and Pacific Gas & Electric. Scott leads the Strategic Advisory Services practice at Bit Stew providing industry expertise and guidance to help customers fully leverage the advanced capabilities of Grid Director.
