Houston, TX (PRWEB) February 27, 2014
Next week, on Saturday, March 8, Tiff’s Treats will celebrate the grand opening of its fourth Houston area store, in the Westchase area. The grand opening will include a fundraiser for The University of Texas MD Anderson Children's Cancer Center, following Tiff’s Treats tradition of raising significant money for a local non profit on its grand opening day. The Houston store's fundraising will bring the company's total raised at grand openings to over $60,000. The March 8th activities will run from 9 am to 4 pm, at 10455 Briar Forest Dr. #130, Houston, TX 77042.
For this grand opening fundraiser, Tiff's Treats will offer a box of warm cookies for $4/dozen, with all proceeds, up to $5000, going to pay for items on the Wish List for the Children's Cancer Hospital at MD Anderson. Beyond money, Tiff’s Treats will also be collecting items on the Wish List opening day. Please see the list for guidance on the Tiff’s Treats website at http://cookiedelivery.com/Company/Grand-Opening-Houston.aspx.
Sales at this event are cash only, with a maximum of six dozen per customer, and will include the three popular flavors: chocolate chip, snickerdoodle or oatmeal raisin. Tiff’s Treats’ warm cookie concept normally requires a 30-minute notice for pick-up orders or one hour for delivery. For the grand opening fundraiser, no advance order is required, and customers can simply walk in to the new store and purchase hot cookies throughout the day.
Additionally, the first 10 people in line will get a $100 gift card to Tiff’s Treats, the next 10 will get a $50 gift card, the next 10 will get $25 and the fourth set of 10 will get a $10 gift card, incentive to show up early to support Tiff’s Treats’ newest Houston store. And one lucky winner will get free Tiff’s Treats for one year.
Founded in 1999, Tiff’s Treats is celebrating 15 years in business all 2014. What started with two friends baking cookies at University of Texas at Austin to help fellow students get through exams has now grown to 14 stores with this newest Houston location, baking over 35 million cookies. And the company is consistently focused on giving back. With 11 grand opening charity fundraising events so far, Tiff’s Treats has donated more than $55,000 to worthy charities.
Tiff’s Treats opened its first Houston store, at Greenway, less than two years ago. Later in 2012, the Houston Medical Center location opened. Just one year ago, the Midtown/Downtown location opened. The three openings raised well over $15,000 for Houston area non-profits.
“The Houston market welcomed us with such support,” said Leon Chen, Tiff’s Treats co-founder. “To open four stores in less than two years is very aggressive, but a reaction to the demand for our cookies from the fantastic Houston community.”
