Peugeot continues its product offensive with the New 308 SW, which combines design and quality, functionality and high values, to boost the success of the New 308 and the Brand’s move up-market.
(PRWEB UK) 6 March 2014
Peugeot will give the world a first view of its New 308 SW at the Geneva Motor Show 2014. The all-new estate car will be showcased at the Geneva Palexpo on Thursday 6th March.
As the latest addition to Peugeot’s New 308 range, the New 308 SW expands on the critically-acclaimed New 308 5-door, which went on sale in the UK in January. It boasts an expanded body, which measures 4,585mm long and 1,804mm wide. Designed with families in mind, it features 660 litres of boot storage space and a further 70 litres of innovative under-floor storage space.
It also features a luxurious cabin with a large 1.6m2 glass panoramic roof, and marks the return of Peugeot’s i-Cockpit – previously featured on the New 308. The i-Cockpit consists of four elements – a head-up instrument panel, a large touch screen, a compact steering wheel and a highly positioned console panel. These features provide drivers with a more dynamic driving experience, allowing them to see all the information they need without taking their eyes from the road.
Attendees at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show will be able to learn more about the New 308 SW’s range of powerful and eco-friendly petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engines will be capable of power outputs between 130 and 155bhp, with CO2 emissions as low as 109g/km, whilst its diesel engines will be capable of 92 to 150 bhp with CO2 emissions not exceeding 111g/km.
The New 308 SW features safety technology at its core, including Dynamic Cruise Control, Emergency Collision Alert and Emergency Collision Braking System.
Xavier Peugeot, Peugeot product director, said: “Peugeot continues its product offensive with the New 308 SW, which combines design and quality, functionality and high values, to boost the success of the New 308 and the Brand’s move up-market.”
Gilles Vidal, Peugeot design director, said: “Designed at the same time as the hatchback and by the same people, the New Peugeot 308 SW includes all of the qualities of the hatchback – fluidity, modernity – while still creating a ‘dynamic estate’ silhouette, very suggestive and full of promise.”
