Sacramento, California (PRWEB) March 06, 2014

Pondera Solutions, a Google Enterprise Partner, announced today that the company is testing its first application for Google Glass which will provide real time and secure analytical and geospatial data from Pondera’s Fraud Detection as a Service Solution (FDaaS) to law enforcement investigators with state and local governments.

The program will adapt Google Glass into an investigator’s tool, giving on-the-scene fraud investigators access to public records and proprietary departmental data, in addition to video, photo, and audio capabilities. Pondera participates in the Google Glass Explorer Program, designed for innovative people and companies to shape the future of Google Glass.

“The applications for traditional law enforcement are compelling,” said Jon Coss, CEO of Pondera Solutions. “Officers can validate IDs on traffic stops without going back to their cars and allowing bad actors to stash contraband or reach for a weapon. Similar applications apply to our customers’ auditors and investigators who want hands-free access to FDaaS data while conducting field operations. Google glass has the power to increase effectiveness and improve safety.”

Pondera’s FDaaS is a Google-powered cloud-based analytics solution that analyzes government payments and program participants, quickly sifting through massive data sets to identify and alert agencies to problems that require follow up investigation. FDaaS is seen as a “super investigator” that combines technical intelligence with departmental data to quickly identify potential fraud. Because FDaaS uses machine learning and geospatial technology, it also continues to “learn” over time, uncovering new and emerging methods of fraud.

“We believe our Google Glass App will help to further revolutionize fraud and criminal investigations. No longer will investigators be distracted by carrying around file folders or taking laptops with them as they surprise bad actors at their place of business,” said Coss. “We plan to bring this product to market in 3rd quarter 2014.”
