Led by Sébastien Roche, Fusion is an innovative musical project combining harmonic and rhythmic elements of rock and jazz. With the assistance of a Kickstarter campaign (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/212862133/fusion-music-ep), the band will be creating an EP album. For more musical diversity, the band plans to include guests to add brass, voice, and percussion elements to the album.
“We need a specific sound engineer who knows what this genre of music entails specifically," says Roche.
As a filmmaker, Roche is going to capture the entire production in order to create a documentary.
Kickstarter supporters will be eligible to download the making-of documentary, the CD, as well as complete access to the band’s blog.
“At the present moment, everyone is thrilled to be involved in this very exciting creative process,” says Roche, “I know this talented group, with its spontaneous dynamism and creativity, will be able to create a truly unique rock/jazz experience.”
About Project Fusion
The project Fusion was born from Sébastien's desire to produce a musical video in a state-of-the art recording studio with talented jazzmen. After just a few hours rehearsing together, all the musicians met up at the beautiful Noble Street Studio in Toronto to finalize work.
Being at the core of the project allowed Sébastien to be surrounded by the talented musicians he needed to create musical compositions without compromise. The result is three instrumental pieces mixed by George Seara who won the 2012 Juno Awards in the recording engineer of the year category.
