Gurnick Academy Received an Award During ABHES Annual National Conference on Allied Health Education

11th Annual National Conference on Allied Health Education was held in Nashville, TN. Gurnick Academy was honored by ABHES for receiving institutional re-accreditation for the maximum timeframe allowed - 8 years.

Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) granted institutional re-accreditation to Gurnick’s 4 campuses: San Mateo, Concord, Fresno, and Modesto in July of 2013. The on-site evaluation visits resulted in ZERO violations as well as many "exceeds expectations" at each of the campuses. Gurnick was granted re-accreditation by ABHES for a maximum timeframe of 8 years. The grant of accreditation is through February 28 of 2022.

To recognize such achievement and receive this award, Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts participated in the ABHES annual conference on Allied Health Education, which was held on February 26-28, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Gurnick Academy’s staff and faculty members also attended several workshops offered by ABHES.

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts also approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) and approved by US Department of Education to participate in Title IV/Federal Financial Aid programs.

Gurnick Academy is approved for the training of Veterans and eligible persons as an eligible institution. This approval will enable Veterans and their eligible dependents/spouses to utilize their GI Bill benefits to train to become Career Healthcare professionals. Gurnick is approved to accept participants from Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Employment Development Department (EDD) and California counties retraining programs.
