The new Samy Apple iOS app offers consumers significant social features and functionality. The Company also plans to release an Android app with similar functionality.
New features include the ability for consumers to easily create and manage a user profile and login with their existing Facebook account. In a recent interview on NBC's Today Show in February 2014, Mark Zuckerberg revealed Facebook has 1 billion users. Consumers will now be able to link their Facebook profile with Samy in order to receive and share exclusive offers and coupons generated by retailers with the Samy self-serve merchant admin.
With the new Samy profile, consumers will clearly able to see the value of savings they gain through an offer redemption counter and calculator that delivers real-time tracking and display of their individual coupon/offer use.
In addition, Samy iOS version 1.6 includes a real-time news feed so consumers can stay informed of the latest merchant mobile stores and savings available near them. Other new features include:
