Engine Shop, a leader in sports, entertainment and lifestyle marketing, is broadening its footprint with a new office in San Francisco to meet the agency’s strategic growth plans and expanding client needs. Engine Shop will base its entire West Coast operation out of the new office located in the city’s SoMa District.
“We have experienced significant strategic growth in our first two years and San Francisco has become an increasingly important market for our business,” said Brian Gordon, CEO of Engine Shop. “The establishment of this office means we can continue to offer the same local support and collaboration for our clients as we do in other major U.S. markets.”
Nick Hines, executive vice president of Engine Shop, will relocate from New York to San Francisco to manage the office and oversee the agency’s West Coast operation, including an established office in Beverly Hills and client business in Las Vegas. Hines, also a junior partner in the firm, has 15 years of experience in brand marketing and has managed award-winning client programs on behalf of ESPN, Anheuser-Busch, Pernod Ricard among others.
“I’m excited to lead our West Coast team through the next step of our strategic growth plan,” said Hines, a California native who graduated from Chapman University in Southern California. “Financial services, technology and real estate – key cogs in the San Francisco economy – are all major components of our business and we will best serve our clients interests by establishing a strong long term presence there.”
The office – wholly owned and operated by Engine Shop – opens April 1 and is expected to add additional staff in the coming months to meet the needs and objectives of both the agency and its clients.
