The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and Wingspan Gives Back presented The Hall of Honor Award to Christopher M. George, president and CEO of CMG Financial, at the MBA 2014 Mid-Winter Housing Finance Conference. The Hall of Honor Award was designed to recognize both corporations and individual corporate leaders who have committed their support to the military community on both a national and local level.
Chris received this award in recognition of his work and dedication through The CMG Foundation. The CMG Foundation, a philanthropic endeavor to support non-profit organizations at both the community and national levels, has provided more than $400,000 to date in valued funding to select causes. Some of the programs receiving these donations include organizations providing severely wounded veterans and their families with the amenities needed to continue living a comfortable life.
“For every man or woman who has ever worn a uniform and put in the effort defending our country, you make me proud to be an American. For all of you who have put in the effort to help honor our company and me tonight, you make me proud to be in the mortgage lending industry. Thank you,” states Chris George.
Chris established The CMG Foundation in 2011 based on a deep-rooted desire to help those around him whom he greatly admires for their courage, loyalty, dedication, and selflessness. The CMG Foundation strives to make an impact in society through supporting non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of those in need.
