About the Play
An OPun and Shut Case is a fast paced mystery play written by Chip Hadley and admirably directed by Bill Craig.
While preparing for the O. Henry Pun-Off, homicide detective Daniel Moore and his partner Detective Beth Gideon become embroiled in their trickiest case ever. Are they in over their heads or is this egg just too hard boiled to crack? Come feel the heat with the rest of their department as they try not to get burned. Sink or swim, you are sure to have a good time!
Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased at the Library, at the door or online at http://www.frrpl.myevent.com/. For information, call 512-218-7005.
About the Friends of the Round Rock Public Library
We are an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that supports the city-funded library but we are not part of the government. We have an independent board of directors, with the library director serving as an ex officio member.
The Friends of the Round Rock Public Library provide funding and manpower to enhance Round Rock Public Library services to library users. We build library support among community members through events such as the Summer Reading Program, a monthly November membership program, and the Mystery Night community fundraiser held in the Spring. We also raise funds through an ongoing used book sale.
The Friends of the Library celebrated its 30th Anniversary in March 2010. In addition to funding from book sales and memberships, the Friends of the Library also administers a library-specific fund financially managed by the Round Rock Community Foundation.
