Houston, Texas (PRWEB) March 21, 2014
Mostyn Law proudly sponsored the 4th Annual Kosher Chili Cookoff at the 2014 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
The event was started in 2011 and has grown to become the largest kosher food event in the city of Houston. This is the second year of sponsorship for Mostyn Law. Over 2,000 people attended this year’s event.
“Houston has a diverse community that has come together to make traditions their own,” said Steve Mostyn, founder of Mostyn Law. “The quick growth of the kosher cookoff just shows how excited people in Houston are to participate in the rodeo. It’s also a great opportunities to raise money for worthwhile causes.”
Portions of the proceeds from the Kosher Cookoff went to support well-known local Jewish charities, such as Aishel House, ERJCC Meals on Wheels, and Jewish Family Service Free Loan Association. Money was also donated to the Joshua and Robin Berry Scholarship Fund.
Admission to the Kosher Chili Cookoff was $10 for adults and $6 for children. Guests were invited to sample a variety of kosher chilies along with participating in children’s activities and enjoying live music.
