John Morris, Candidate for Los Angeles County Assessor, announces endorsement of taxpayers

"The prosecutions I helped lead saved tens of millions for taxpayers and every Los Angeles resident," said John Morris, Candidate for LA County Assessor. "I will bring the same leadership to the county assessor's office..."

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 25, 2014

After decades spent stopping hardened criminals from spreading violence in neighborhoods and white collar fraud, John Morris has picked up the support of dozens of taxpayers, many of them women leaders in their community, in just the past few weeks to go with his recent endorsement by the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and many others.

"The prosecutions I helped lead saved tens of millions for taxpayers, insurance rate payers, and every Los Angeles resident," said John Morris, Candidate for LA County Assessor. "I will bring the same leadership to the county assessor's office by properly applying and defending Prop 13. To see so many taxpayers sign on to back my campaign is very gratifying."

Taxpayers themselves made it clear that it comes down to trust when looking for an Assessor.

"John Morris has spent his career working all over Los Angeles County helping put violent gang members behind bars and fighting fraud that is costing hospitals, insurers, and families millions," said Laura Clifford, Executive Director of the Employers Fraud Task Force. "John knows that real property is the economic anchor of most families and that Prop 13 protects our property. As our Assessor, John Morris will protect Proposition 13."

As a prosecutor, John Morris has spent years putting hardcore criminal gangs behind bars, getting them off our streets and out of our neighborhoods. Later, he headed one of the largest prosecution divisions in the state to stop health care and workers compensation fraud. Under his leadership, prosecutions more than doubled, saving rate payers, health care providers, insurers, employers and their employees millions.

"As Assessor, I will reform the system to be transparent, trustworthy, and one that works for taxpayers by upholding Prop 13," explained John Morris.
