MidAtlantic Farm Credit Names Scholarship Recipients

Local agricultural lender, MidAtlantic Farm Credit, names the students who will receive a total of $18,500 in college scholarships located within their five-state territory.

MidAtlantic Farm Credit has selected the students who will receive a combined total of $18,500 in college scholarships. The recipients are located throughout the five regions MidAtlantic Farm Credit serves.

This year’s scholarship recipients are: Morgan Alexander of Berryville, Virginia (daughter of Chuck and Linda Alexander); Allyson Balmer of Manheim, Pennsylvania (daughter of R. Bryan and Tammy Balmer); Joshua Brubaker of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania (son of Michael and Lisa Brubaker); Nicholas DeGrange of Hagerstown, Maryland (son of Richard and Teresa DeGrange); Amber Donoway of Newark, Maryland (daughter of Michael and Nancy Donoway); Daniel Gordy of Snow Hill, Maryland (son of Chuck and Lisa Gordy); Jared Harshman of Frederick, Maryland (son of Pam and Jeff Harshman); Lauren and Claire Linton of Martinsburg, West Virginia (daughters of Richard and Kimberly Linton); Megan Miller of Strasberg, Pennsylvania (daughter of Gregory and Tamara Miller), Mariah Purtee of Union Bridge; Maryland (daughter of Ken and Shirley Purtee); and Jonah Vincent of Laurel, Delaware (son of Raymond and Theresa Vincent).

Each year, MidAtlantic Farm Credit offers scholarships to high school seniors or those currently enrolled in a two or four year program. The applicants or their parents or guardians must be members of MidAtlantic Farm Credit to be eligible. The selections are based on the applicant’s record of academic success and participation in extracurricular activities.
