HITT Contracting Inc. was the general contractor on six projects that received nine 2014 WBC Craftsmanship Awards. HITT also won three awards at the 2014 Subby Awards including outstanding general building contractor for renovation and restoration.

HITT Contracting Inc. was the general contractor on six projects that received nine 2014 WBC Craftsmanship Awards. On Friday, March 21, the six HITT projects were recognized at the 58th Annual WBC Craftsmanship Awards banquet in Washington, DC. Out of 268 submissions, only eight of the Craftsmanship award winners were also nominated for Star Awards. Among the Star Award nominees was the Capella Hotel in Georgetown. Constructed by HITT, Capella was recognized at the end of the evening as one of three Star Award recipients. The complete list of HITT 2014 Craftsmanship Awards winners are:

This honor is bestowed on an individual who has extensively contributed to the advancement of the construction industry throughout his/her career.

Renato E. Ventura Award - Outstanding general building contractor for tenant interior build-out
This award is given to the outstanding general contractor who has aided the subcontracting industry by outstanding administration, efficient field supervision and fair financial practices on a continuing basis.

Walter Truland Award – Outstanding General Building Contractor
This is the program’s biggest honor for a general contractor of any size. It’s given to an exceptional general contractor that has advanced the subcontracting industry on a continuing basis. Brett, Co-President of HITT was on hand to accept this award on behalf of the company.
