ABQAURP welcomes Mr. Craig Deao, a Senior Leader with Studer Group, as distinguished faculty for the annual conference. As practices engage with patient satisfaction tools and hospitals delve into HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) surveys, it is time to focus on “The Value of Customer Service”.
The HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey is the first national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients' perspectives of hospital care. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-148) includes HCAHPS among the measures to be used to calculate value-based incentive payments in the Hospital Value-Based Purchasing program.
Studer Group® works with healthcare organizations to achieve, sustain, and accelerate exceptional clinical, operational, and financial outcomes. They work to focus organizations on the creation of cultures in which people hold themselves accountable and help set them up to be able to execute quickly. By installing an execution framework, organizations are able to align goals, actions, and processes. This framework creates the foundation that enables transformation in this era of continuous change; leading to better transparency, higher accountability, and the ability to target and execute specific, objective results that organizations want to achieve.
That same framework allows them to operate with efficiency, discipline, and accountability; and earned Studer Group the achievement of the 2010 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
