Visiting Nurse Association Health Group’s “Power of the Purse” Fundraiser to Benefit Programs and Services for Children
Rumson, NJ (PRWEB) March 26, 2014 -- The Children’s Auxiliary of Visiting Nurse Association Health Group (VNAHG) is planning their bi-annual “The Power of the Purse,” a Ladies’ Night Out and Purse Auction. This popular event will be held Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 6:30 pm at Rumson Country Club’s newly renovated Riverhouse in Rumson, NJ. Tickets for the event are $125 and include hors d’oeuvres, buffet, beer, wine and a complimentary signature cocktail. The evening includes silent and chance auctions of beautiful purses and bags from high-end designers including Tom Ford, Tory Burch, Longchamp, Brooks Brothers and Cole Haan. Proceeds from the evening will benefit VNA Health Group programs and services for children, helping to ensure that access to community-based care is a reality to families in need and providing care for children who are acutely and chronically ill, have developmental concerns and special needs as well parenting education and support to first-time, at-risk expectant mothers.

“This is an exciting, fun-filled evening for a great cause,” said Niki Sourlis, Chairman, VNA Health Group Children’s Auxiliary. “The purses donated for this event are really spectacular and everyone has a great time, but in the end, it’s all about helping vulnerable children in our communities.”
Dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of children and families through clinical solutions at home and in the community, VNA Health Group services for children include pediatric home health care, infusion therapy, parenting education, Special Child Health Services and Early Intervention programs, Women, Infants and Children (WIC) supplemental nutrition program, home visitation programs including Nurse Family Partnership and Healthy Families, prenatal and postpartum care, school-based services, primary care including immunizations as well as hospice care for children and group counseling for children who have lost a loved one.
