Bend Transitional Care Makes U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Nursing Homes 2014” National List

Bend Transitional Care – a part of the Avamere Family of Companies – received the highest possible overall rating of Five Stars from the Centers of Medicare & Medicaid, which U.S. News and World Report uses as its criteria for naming the care facility one of the best in the nation.

Bend, Oregon (PRWEB) March 30, 2014

The doors of Bend Transitional Care (located at 900 NE 27th Avenue Bend, OR 97701) will have been open to the public just a year this August and already the post-hospital care facility is receiving national attention for its dedication to quality care.

“We are absolutely ecstatic over this news,” says Cole Mack, Administrator for Bend Transitional Care. “From the day we admitted our first resident, it has been our goal to deliver quality care to the people of Central Oregon.”

The transitional care facility is designed to rehabilitate patients after being discharged from the hospital. By using a combination of comprehensive nursing and intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapies, the staff at Bend Transitional Care strives to quickly return patients to their homes so they can resume their lives.

Health inspections, nurse staffing, and quality measures are the three categories the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) look at when the publication determined Bend Transitional Care deserved an overall rating of five stars. U.S. News and World Report’s Best Nursing Homes 2014 examined the ratings of nearly 16,000 facilities across the country and honored Bend Transitional Care as one of the few top care centers in the nation.
