Calling all Artists and Crafters!

Austin, TX (PRWEB) March 31, 2014

Altered Upcycling is a green crafting company that promotes upcycling and green crafting tips, tricks and tutorials. The company has developed several books (all available on Amazon under Mahe Zehra Husain) that teach the reader how to incorporate upcycling and recycling in their everyday lives and especially in their arts and crafts projects. The goal is to save the planet while crafting.

Altered Upcycling has put together several community art books and has now announced a call for craft project submissions so that artists and crafters from all over the world can send in their projects for publication.

A recent collaborative book by Altered Upcycling, The Green Crafts Lifestyle - Learn to Upcycle Wood, Paper, Plastic, Fabric and Paper with 35 Exciting Projects and Tutorials reached world No. 2 on Amazon.com resulting in a lot of exposure for the artists and crafters involved. This Kindle book was put together by 20 artists from all over the world and include projects that upcycle furniture, card, paper, metal tins, plastic packaging and everything in between. The range and variety of these projects is truly amazing.

For all artists and crafters who want to share their projects with the world and be part of a beautiful collaborative art and craft e-book series, Altered Upcycling is currently looking for project submissions in the following categories.

1.    Card Making
2.    Projects using Old Books
3.    Basic Sewing Projects
4.    Crafts for Kids
5.    Home Décor Projects
6.    Scrapbook layouts and Mini Books
7.    Zentangle Inspired Art or Doodle Projects

All projects have to use at least one upcycled or recycled material. For instance in a sewing project try to reuse old shirts or t-shirts. In a Card Making project try to re-use old cards or scraps of paper left over from other craft projects.

All projects have to be submitted to thecraftycan(at)gmail(dot)com in word format with pictures attached explaining each step clearly.

For all artists and crafters who have ever wanted to be published and have wanted to share their crafting with people all over the world, this is the perfect opportunity. Be a part of the awesome Altered Upcycling family.

The last date for project submissions is 30th April. Hurry up and send in your projects.
