CAP certification shows that our lab achieves the highest quality standards, which also contribute to quality patient care.
Overland Park, KS (PRWEB) April 03, 2014
The Reproductive Resource Center (RRC), a Kansas City based reproductive health, infertility, and in-vitro fertilization (or IVF) center, has been awarded accreditation by the Accreditation Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), based on the results of a recent onsite inspection.
The laboratory’s director, Rodney Wade, BSA, MS, ELD, was advised of this national recognition and congratulated for the excellence of the services being provided. Wade explains, “CAP certification shows that our lab achieves the highest quality standards, which also contribute to quality patient care.” Reproductive Resource Center is one of more than 7,000 CAP-accredited laboratories worldwide.
"We are very proud to have been awarded for the meticulous standards of our laboratory services," said Toni Clark, Executive Director of RRC. "Rodney has worked in reproductive medicine as an IVF Lab Director for more than 30 years. Our staff’s comprehensive approach to patient care is extremely beneficial to the success of our clinicians and their patients."
The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program began in the early 1960s and is recognized by the federal government as being equal to or more stringent than the government’s own inspection program.
During the CAP accreditation process, inspectors examine the laboratory’s records and quality control of procedures for the preceding two years. CAP inspectors also examine laboratory staff qualifications, as well as the laboratory’s equipment, facilities, safety program and record, in addition to the overall management of the laboratory. This stringent inspection program is designed to specifically ensure the highest standard of care for all laboratory patients.
