Eighty percent of our business comes from choreography and it seems to be the service most of our clients are looking for year after year. I’m proud to say that nine out of ten of the teams I worked with in 2013 won their respective divisions.

Cheerleading has become one of the fastest growing sports around the world. As a result, companies like DanceCheerMove are expanding their business operations and providing much-needed services to cheerleading squads of all levels and in all areas of the world. In fact, DanceCheerMove has seen a 400 percent increase in business over the last five years despite a struggling global economy.
As a result of the increased demand for cheerleading services, owner, Shazi Edmonds, has added several key staff members to aid in meeting the influx of business. Amongst those added, Marvee McKenzie has joined the DanceCheerMove team to handle administrative duties, including travel logistics, marketing, and client management. As a former NCA instructor and collegiate cheerleader, McKenzie understands the business and is enthusiastic about the growth of the company. Edmonds believes, “With Marvee’s cheerleading and business management background, our company will be able to grow at a sustainable rate.”
Shazi states that cheerleading choreography is the “primary” source of business for the company. As a top level choreographer, she emphasizes, “Eighty percent of our business comes from choreography and it seems to be the service most of our clients are looking for year after year. I’m proud to say that nine out of ten of the teams I worked with in 2013 won their respective divisions, which may be the catalyst for the increase in requests for this service.” With this success rate, Edmonds hopes that DanceCheerMove will see an even larger volume of choreography camps in the years to come.
To compliment the thriving choreography segment of the business, DanceCheerMove will be offering a wider variety of specialized cheerleading clinics including stunt, tumbling, cheer and chant, and collegiate clinics. As top innovators in the cheer industry today, Edmonds feels sure that “these clinics will produce fresh and exciting material, while challenging all teams we have the opportunity to work with.” As of March, the Savannah, GA-based cheerleading company has already signed four private schools, one high school, and one all-star squad to long-term tumbling and stunt contracts.
DanceCheerMove was founded in March of 2006. Its core services include cheerleading camps and clinics, cheerleading choreography, customized cheerleading music mixes, and judging. Based out of Savannah, GA, the highly qualified instructors travel to cheerleading squads worldwide. DanceCheerMove owner, Shazia Edmonds, has 10 National Championship titles, and two International Championships to her name, both as a coach and choreographer. She has been a five-year National Cheerleading Association Head instructor, three-time All-American Cheerleader, and four-year captain of the Georgia Southern University cheerleading squad.
