Norcross, GA (PRWEB) April 08, 2014
Atlantix Global Systems today announced that it has received certification for OHSAS 18001:2007 at its Norcross headquarters facility for the occupational health and safety activities related to refurbishing IT equipment. OHSAS 18001:2007 is a process-based certification recognizing organizations that link business objectives with operating effectiveness and safety. Certified organizations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
“The OHSAS certification demonstrates to our customers, suppliers and our employees our commitment to provide a workplace environment dedicated to employee safety at the highest levels,” said Brian Glahn, president and chief executive officer, Atlantix Global Systems.
OHSAS 18001 is the world’s most recognized occupational health and safety management systems standard. The OHSAS 18001:2007 specification was updated in 2007 to closely align with the structures of the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) 9000 and ISO 14000—both of which Atlantix Global has achieved—so that organizations could more easily adopt OHSAS 18001 alongside existing management systems.
