The SAE 2014 World Congress completed a busy and successful first day at Cobo Center in Detroit.
The opening session featured speeches by Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and Chief Legal Counsel for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Kevin Vincent.
The opening day also featured the 3rd Annual A World In Motion® International Motorized Toy Car Competition and the always popular SAE Awards & Recognitions Ceremony: Honoring Excellence.
Attendees browsed some of the latest technology and innovative products on a show floor that featured 190 exhibitors from around the world.
The SAE 2014 World Congress runs through Thursday.
