Inmar today announced that Rob Small, Senior Director, Supply Chain Consulting, has been named a 2014 Pro to Know by Supply and Demand Chain Executive.

According to the publication’s editors, Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s “Pros to Know”, The Provider Pros to Know is a listing of individuals from a software firm or service provider, consultancy or academia who have helped their Supply Chain clients or the Supply Chain community at large prepare to meet the significant challenges in the year ahead.

Small is a supply chain and Inmar veteran with more than 25 years of experience. He pioneered Inmar’s model for Supply Chain Consulting, building a methodology for designing supply chain studies in which data are collected and analyzed from all points along the forward and reverse supply chain. That model provides detailed, real-time insights used for unsaleables policy development, supply chain and retail optimization, product and packaging improvement, brand protection, waste reduction, field recall execution and quality management.

His efforts have enabled Inmar clients to achieve significant improvements in business outcomes, such as major reductions in damaged and expired product rates, and to improve new product launches. Rob also has leveraged Inmar’s significant supply chain database to publish supply chain trends that inform strategy and provide important benchmarking for our clients.

“I am honored to be named a Pro to Know,” says Small. “Technology-savvy shoppers have new expectations that require companies to adjust – quickly – or lose the opportunity and shopper trust. Providers are presented with an exciting opportunity to help companies overcome these challenges by using real-time data to monitor supply chain activity and better optimize supply chains all the way through to the shelf.”
