With C4L’s Colocation and Connectivity we have a secure and reliable foundation for Indigo’s Cloud. Using a range of well-connected datacentres means that we have locality, availability and carrier-grade connectivity built into our services

Many Public Sector organisations, such as the NHS and schools, have strict rules governing where personal information can be stored, prohibiting third parties from storing sensitive data outside of England and Wales. Many top Cloud provider names such as Microsoft, AWS and Google cannot guarantee that data will remain within the UK, especially during maintenance and outages.

Indigo’s Local Cloud, backed by C4L’s extensive network of UK data centres, is becoming increasingly popular with the Public Sector and businesses alike. Keeping data within reach on a flexible platform also means that organisations can adapt the Cloud to their individual needs. Hands-on access to data becomes possible and secure leased lines into the datacentre remains affordable.

Pete Hill, Business Development Director at C4L, said; “I am delighted to officially welcome Indigo to the expanding C4L Partner Network where they will receive premium access to our Colocation and Connectivity services, initially focussed on our flagship Bournemouth location. The ultimate goal for this partnership is to benefit those in the public sector industry to receive the most reliable, secure and efficient IT services which are guaranteed to be located only in the UK.”

There is a growing propensity for organisations to consider the Cloud to replace aging infrastructure and to host new applications. The need to maintain integration with legacy onsite solutions and the requirement for visibility and control can be barriers to Cloud adoption. This collaboration enables Indigo to deliver flexible Hybrid Cloud solutions that enables organisations to move forward with the Cloud by breaking down these barriers.

Martin Saunders, CTO of Indigo said: “We are thrilled to join the C4L Partner Network; with C4L’s Colocation and Connectivity we have a secure and reliable foundation for Indigo’s Cloud. Using a range of well-connected datacentres means that we have locality, availability and carrier-grade connectivity built into our solutions. We use industry standard hardware and software together with our expertise to provide a range of outsourced solutions, managed security services and disaster recovery plans with an unrivalled level of service delivered by a growing local company. Recent change in both the NHS and education marketplaces has seen a significant uptake in Indigo’s Cloud and Communications services with the local datacentre giving our customers the confidence they need to start their journey to the Cloud. We look forward to a successful future with C4L.”
