Experian provides highly sensitive and confidential information, often known as Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and then mandates it be protected in accordance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) mandates. From Requirement 1 to Requirement 12, the mandates in place for PCI DSS compliance effectively apply to Experian data, hence the reason Experian themselves has adopted this framework for information security.
