Pipe Bursting Equipment Manufacturer, TRIC Tools, Participates in the 2014 (NASTT) "No Dig" Show Held in Kissimmee, Florida
Alameda, CA (PRWEB) April 17, 2014 -- TRIC Tools, Inc. (Booth 1014) participates in the annual North American Society of Trenchless Technology (NASTT), "No Dig" Show in Orlando, CA, April 13th through April 17th. The Show takes place at Kissimmee’s Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center at 6000 Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34746.
Gregg Abbott, Director of Sales; and Michael Lien, Operations Director represented TRIC at the conference. "Gregg & I really enjoy working with NASTT, Benjamin Media, and our industry friends, they always make the "No Dig" show truly rewarding," said Mr. Lien. TRIC showcased its re-engineered 30-ton lateral Pipe Bursting system and its current Municipal 50 ton unit. Tuesday, April 15th Michael Lien presented “Cash for Compliance: The Boom in Sewer Lateral Replacement.” The presentation profiles how lateral pipe bursting is changing, and the increasing demand for pipe bursting as the preferred method for trenchless lateral replacement. Sewer pipes are in need of repair in many communities and how the issue of Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) and the resulting Sanitary Sewer Overflows (SSOs) is evolving and varies from one location to another.
TRIC’s Pipe Bursting units combine a compact size and harnesses enough power to burst 4" & 6" laterals in an attractive package. TRIC has led the way in providing Lateral Pipe Bursting equipment for contractors since 1998.
TRIC invented and patented the first practical Lateral Pipe Bursting System while simultaneously gaining national approval of HDPE pipe for its use, thus opening the market for trenchless home sewer replacement in America. TRIC has since added municipal cable pulling systems to its arsenal, always employing their formula of modular portability, including pneumatic and steel splitting heads designed to replace various pipe sizes from 1/2" to 12" diameter.
While at the show, TRIC participated in the International Pipe Bursting Association Meeting (IPBA) http://www.IPBAonline.org. Some of the topics covered at the meeting were: Asbestos Concrete, how do we move forward in dealing with this issue; Waterline pipe bursting should be the committee’s focus, and finally, the need for pipe bursting job stories and pipe bursting presentations for upcoming industry shows. Matt Timberlake, IPBA Chairman, highlighted the major points discussed at the IPBA Lateral Committee meeting at the February 2014 Pumper-Cleaner Show in Indianapolis. “The municipalities want a set of standards to both gauge the proficiency of the contractor before he began and the quality of his installation when completed.” He continued, “The manufacturers want to break down unsupportable barriers to more use of pipe bursting and better educate on the reasonable mechanical issues.” Finally, the contractors want more pipe bursting, but not really more pipe bursting contractors,” he concluded.
