Y Media Labs, a full-service mobile app design and development studio, announced today that its “Nom Nom Paleo” iPad app has been nominated for Best Lifestyle Tablet App in the 18th Annual Webby Awards. Hailed as the "Internet's highest honor" by The New York Times, the Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), which nominates and selects The Webby Award Winners, is comprised of web industry experts, including media mogul Arianna Huffington, Skype CEO Tony Bates, Mozilla CEO and Chair Mitchell Baker, Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom, mobile-phone inventor Martin Cooper, and Creator of the Jif Steve Wilhite.

The Nom Nom Paleo app is one example of Y Media Labs’ commitment to reinventing the mobile space. David-Michel Davies, Executive Director of The Webby Awards agrees, stating “Honorees like Y Media Labs are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet. It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 12,000 entries we received this year."

The bestselling Nom Nom Paleo iPad app showcases simple, tantalizing recipes, all of which are gluten, soy, and sugar free. Recipes can be filtered by food category or specific ingredients and are approved by the Whole30® nutritional re-set program. The app includes over 1,800 stunning, high-resolution photos, which guide the user through every step of the cooking process.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized by The Webby Awards and thank the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences for this great honor,” says Ashish Toshniwal, CEO of Y Media Labs, responding to the nomination. “The app development space gets more competitive every day, but as this recognition shows, dedication to excellent user experience is still rewarded.”

The 18th Annual Webby Awards received 12,000 entries from over 60 countries and all 50 states. Out of the 12,000 entries submitted, fewer than 15% received this honor and were deemed an Official Honoree.
