Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce the addition of partner Paul Seby and of counsel Marian (Mimi) Larsen to its Denver office in the firm’s Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources law practice group.

Seby is a leading practitioner of environmental law in the Rocky Mountain region and was recently recognized by Law Week Colorado as a “Lawyer of the Year.” He was also recognized by the Denver Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in Energy.” His work focuses on achieving client goals in the areas of air and water quality, mining, wildlife and endangered species, land use, BLM and Forest Service public land issues, wetlands, recycling and waste disposal, and underground contamination. Seby also possesses extensive experience in EIS/NEPA compliance, CERCLA matters, permitting, negotiating with both government agencies and adversary groups, litigation involving environmental issues, and expert witness selection and coordination.

Seby is a graduate of The Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College (J.D., 1991) and University of San Diego (B.A., 1988).

Larsen focuses her practice on complex energy and natural resources law and regulatory compliance at the state and federal levels and is a long-time advocate in public policy formation and politics. She has an accomplished appellate practice, representing clients before the United States Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court, and the Colorado Court of Appeals. As part of her practice, Larsen represents natural resource development companies, owners, developers, and investors in development, land use matters, leasing, and financing. With her background in energy and natural resources law, Larsen is able to address the diverse nature of environmental issues that come into play in complex litigation matters.

Larsen is a graduate of University of Denver Sturm College of Law (J.D., 2004) and University of Denver (B.A., 1999).
